What prediction market platforms do you support?

We currently support Polymarket and Kalshi with platform-specific scoring calibration. Each platform has different base risk points (Polymarket=12, Kalshi=8) reflecting their different dispute mechanisms.

How is the risk score calculated?

Our scoring is fully deterministic: raw_points = BASE_POINTS(platform) + sum(driver_points) - mitigation + complexity. The aggregate score is clamped to [0, 100] and mapped to tiers: LOW [0,20), MEDIUM [20,50), HIGH [50,75), CRITICAL [75,100]. See our Methodology page for the complete formula.

Three things: (1) We have a real pricing engine that outputs dispute-adjusted fair prices, risk premiums, and capital lockup costs in basis points. (2) We provide lognormal settlement delay distributions with p50/p90/p99 estimates. (3) Every score includes transparent driver-level attribution with up to 15 explainable risk factors. Our methodology is published openly.

Is the scoring deterministic?

Yes. Given the same inputs and version stamps (heuristics_version, llm_extractor_version, driver_taxonomy_version), outputs are bit-for-bit identical. We include all version stamps in every response.

Yes. Our webhook system delivers 7 event types (score.tier_changed, rules.changed, etc.) with HMAC-signed payloads, at-least-once delivery guarantees, and replay support. Fund tier and above also get gRPC StreamAlerts for low-latency streaming.

What is the pricing engine?

Given a mid-price or event probability, our pricing engine computes: dispute-adjusted fair price, risk premium, capital lockup cost (in bps), and fair spread (in bps). It also flags when conditions are too risky to quote (do_not_quote). This is critical for market makers who need to factor resolution risk into their spreads.

How do I authenticate API requests?

All requests are authenticated via HMAC-SHA256 request signing. The easiest way is to use our official SDKs — pip install settlerisk (Python) or npm install settlerisk (TypeScript) — which handle signing, retries, and idempotency automatically. If you prefer manual integration, you sign a canonical request string with your API secret and include the signature in the X-Vellox-Signature header. See our docs for details.
